University of Birmingham Menelik Education (Bham Menelik)
A new student branch of Menelik Education committed to-:
- Raising awareness of the faces, places and problems in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
- Fundraising for the project and volunteering trips to Kinshasa.
- Developing a pool of passionate volunteers committed to the project and/or travelling to DRC in summer 2010.
The students said:
"We had the privilege of travelling to DRC in July 2009, and had an unforgettable time! We met some very special people and miss them dearly. The trip inspired us to establish this supporting branch of Menelik Education, with the aim of returning to Kinshasa, and expanding the brilliant work already being achieved there".
